Jim Calandro's 3-1/2 Sport

I've been corresponding with Jim by e-mail for several years about Moto Morinis. Earlier this year we (along with Craig Hunley) jointly bought a collection of parts equalling approximately three Moto Morinis from Glen Bewley in Atlanta, and I drove to North Carolina in early May so we could divide up the spoils. The trip was planned to coincide with an annual gathering of Italian motorcycle enthusiast which Jim organizes, and I brought my own Morini 3-1/2 Strada so I'd have something to ride. Here's a picture of my humble Strada parked next to one of the all-time awesome Italian motorcycles, a genuine 1974 Laverda 750 SFC, owned by Rick Lee.

While staying at Jim's house so we could divide the pile of Morini parts, I took the following pictures of his 1975 Sport. The serial number is A/1-05751 and it carried a sticker saying the build date was March 1975. Jim put a lot of effort into restoring this bike from a rather neglected state and it is close to original with the notable exception of the Valentini rearsets.
