When I recently bought a basket-case 3-1/2 Morini I noticed that the frame looks quite a lot like a Norton Commando frame. Since I have a bare Commando frame in my shop I decided to take some pictures of the two side-by-side:
Right side (Commando frame in front)
Left side (Morini in front)
Front (Morini on right)
Rear (Morini on left)
One thing I noticed is that even though the frames look quite similar in design, the Morini frame is much heavier—I should weigh them both one of these days. This Morini frame (about 1980 vintage, A/3-19222) is one of the "kinked" type, and I took several photos to show what is meant by this name. Actually the kink in the front downtubes is rather subtle:
